In one line: MIMI Babies runs entirely on your child's device. It never sends anything anywhere — no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. The few things it remembers (a nickname, your settings, where your child left off) live only on the device and are yours to erase.

1. Who this is for

MIMI Babies is a learning app designed for young children (ages 1–3), used under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We take children's privacy seriously and have built the app so that no child's data ever leaves the device.

2. Information we collect

None. Nothing is collected by us or sent to anyone. Specifically, the app does not:

require an email, phone number, account, or any sign-in;
access contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera;
use advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs;
send any data to us or to any third party.

What the app remembers — on your device only

So that it can greet your child and pick up where they left off, the app keeps a small amount of information on the device itself. None of it is ever transmitted:

an optional nickname you type for your child (used only for the greeting);
your chosen language, MIMI's voice, and light/dark appearance;
sound and music settings;
the last activity and card your child was on, so the "Carry on" button can return there.

You can erase all of it at any time with Settings → Reset everything, and uninstalling the app removes it completely.

3. Internet & permissions

The app works fully offline after installation and makes no network connections of its own. Like every Android app built on its framework it declares the internet permission, but there is no server, no sync, and nothing to send. It requests only the minimal permissions needed to function — vibration (for gentle tap feedback) and audio settings (so MIMI's voice can play). It does not use the microphone, camera, location, or your files.

Spoken words come from your device's built-in text-to-speech. If a voice for your language is not yet installed, Android may download it through Android's own settings; that happens outside the app and under your control.

4. Baby Lock

A grown-up can turn on Baby Lock, which asks Android to pin MIMI Babies to the screen so a small child cannot wander into other apps. It is turned off by answering a quick grown-up question inside the app. Baby Lock uses Android's standard screen-pinning feature only; it involves no data and no permissions beyond that.

5. Third-party services

MIMI Babies contains no third-party advertising, no social networks, and no analytics services. Spoken words use your device's built-in text-to-speech; no audio is recorded or sent anywhere.

6. Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone and transmits nothing, it complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation provisions for children (GDPR-K). The only information that exists is on your own device, under your control, and erasable at any time as described above.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
